Doctor Hero

Was it 3 every 4 hours or 4 every 3 hours...?

Birthdays

Alfred loved birthdays. Heck, he loved to celebrate in general. His own birthday was one of his favorites. But no matter how busy he got, or how bad their relations were at the time, he went out of his way to send Arthur something every year for his birthday, even if it was just a card.

He was pretty sure that either his boss or England’s kept most of the stuff from getting through, but he had to try. And who knows? Maybe something made it through.

Mystical Creatures

Al believes in them (though he will deny it), even if he can’t always see them. He could when he was younger, but, much like Japan, has pretty much grown out of being able to. Though, with some of the stuff he’s seen being inside Neinescape, he’s not so sure he can’t see them anymore. He’s starting to figure that it’s just a matter of time before he can see Arthur’s unicorns and flying mint bunny.

Surgery

He dislikes the thought of surgery, but he’s also seen the good it can do, so he doesn’t object to the practice. He just doesn’t want to go under the knife himself.

His smile

He will smile, no matter what. It doesn’t matter if he had a horrible day, is in a bad mood, etc. he will still smile, because he wants the people around him to be happy.

His engagement ring

It never leaves his finger. Ever. He refuses to take it off. The only time it leaves his hand is when he’s working in his lab, when he could very possibly melt his hands off. Then it’s sitting in plain view behind the blast shield.

The lab/workroom

You don’t wanna go in there. It’s a mess. There’re dangerous chemicals and concoctions filling a good portions of the cabinets. It almost terminally smells like something is burning. And if you come in unannounced, because it’s not unheard of for him to accidentally leave the door unlocked, you risk getting caught in an explosion.

There is a corner of the room that is safe. It’s the area behind the blast shield. Back there, it looks like a continuation of his office. The table is covered in papers, this time notes instead of files, and a small spot has been left clear for his laptop. There’s a mini-fridge, with a TV and Xbox on top of it, and a hook on the wall for his lab coat.

This is one of two places that he might be instead of hanging around in his office.

The roof

This is the other place you’d find him, normally during his lunch breaks or when he needs a break from the bustle and screaming inside the hospital. It gives him a chance to relax. It gives him a taste of the freedom he truly misses.

The roof is also where he took Arthur on their first real date, if it could be called that. It was a simple picnic on the roof, but it gave both of them a break from the hospital.

Tranquilizer guns

Yes, he carries a tranquilizer gun. Yes, it is always loaded. Yes, he will shoot you if you’re a psychotic mental patient and drag you back to Russia.

Patients

Al loves talking to patients, doctors, and nurses alike. He will do anything he can to help any and all of the above. If he thinks he can help, he will. There’ve been patients in the past who were mistrustful of the staff, but what they really seemed to need was someone who wasn’t gonna torture them. And Alfred was more than happy to help them.
